The Goddard Bridge

Probably the most recognized, the Goddard Covered Bridge is located just off highway 32 near Goddard.  The only surviving example of the Ithiel Town Lattice design in Kentucky, the timbers are joined with wooden pegs.

Actual date of construction and original builder are unknown but the bridge can be traced back to the 1820's.

A favorite spot for photographers, the Goddard Bridge frames the Goddard United Methodist Church in the background.

The Bridge is 60 feet long and may be the oldest remaining covered bridge in Kentucky that is still open to traffic.
